Step by Step instructions to create a Autorun Menu
Step 1:
- First create a background image (face.gif) with all
hotspot locations defined. Like this:

Step 2:
- Then create all rollover images (by cropping out the
above image) like so:
for the first one:
(install_on.gif)
for the second one:
(readme_on.gif)
and so on....
Step 3:
- Run MakeCDROM, and select NEW project, and type
in a project name and folder location.
- Enter a CD Title, Select or create a Staging
Folder, and browse to your Background Image (face.gif)
from above.
Step 4:
- Click on the Edit button to add a hotspot.
Enter a Hotspot Name and tool tip if you want one.
- Pull down on the Action 1 list and select the
Action Execute File.
- For the Parameter field, browse for your "setup.exe"
type file.
- Tab down to the Rollover Image, and browse for
the file install_on.gif.
- Click on the Locate button, and using the mouse
place the rollover image wherever you like.
- Browse for Rollover or Click Wav files
(if desired) and hit OK.
Step 5:
- You can add more Hotspots (by repeating step 4), but for now
hit the Save
button to save you project. It will also copy all needed files to your
staging folder.
- Click on the Test Run button
to launch the project. (this will launch the autorun.exe file from
the staging folder)
- When you are done, and happy with it, just burn all
files and folders from the Staging Folder to a CDROM using a Easy CD Creator
type program.
